Becky Green

At three years old, my Mum took me to my first ballet class. Did I like it? Kind of… by the age of 10 when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up “Ballet teacher” was what I knew I wanted to be?

I have gained my ISTD Associate with Honours, my F.D.I. and during Covid my BBO Level 5 qualification, through independent study, courses and by being driven and inspired by a wonderful host of teachers in the local area.

I have been lucky enough to teach for 20 years in a variety of educational settings (recreational dance schools and Independent schools) preparing students from 2 to adult for exams, auditions and a variety of performance opportunities.

I believe that everyone can dance and that dance truly is for everyone.

I hope to break the pre-conceived idea of what makes a dancer and the inhibitions of feeling that dance isn’t for you. My aim is to break those boundaries and have fun in what ever genre of dance you find a love for.

BE BRAVE, BE YOU AND GIVE IT A GO!

Leanne

I started dancing from a young age, and loved it instantly, I always new I wanted to teach dance and this remained my goal throughout my training.

After attending dance school’s in my local area and studying the ISTD syllabus, I joined the Brit School for Performing Arts at age 14. I gained a diploma in dance as well as my Modern DDE qualification. I then furthered my dance training at The Creative Academy where I got to work closely with industry professionals, take part in shows and gain a Degree in dance.

I have been assisting in dance lessons from a young age and was thrilled when I started teaching my own classes, since then I have worked in a range of dance schools, teaching all styles to all ages and have loved getting creative and choreographing!

After working alongside Becky for the past few years I’m thrilled to be teaching at her school, she has been a great mentor for me and I can’t wait to start my journey at Greens Academy of dance. I’m so excited to be part of the team!
